In addition to sponsoring conferences, each year the JPA offers a free public lecture. The Philip T. Zabriskie Lecture is open to those interested in the dynamics and expressions of the human psyche . It honors the memory and contribution of an eminent member of the New York Jungian community. The invited speaker is a Jungian analyst, a Jungian scholar, or an individual with expertise relevant to a Jungian perspective of the human experience.
No tickets or reservations are required. For more information, please contact the Jungian Psychoanalytic Association administrator, Allison Tuzo, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Past Lecturers have included:
2010 – Wendy Doniger
2009 – Andreas Jung
2008 – James Hillman
2007 – Sonu Shamdasani
The JPA also sponsors or co-sponsors other symposiums and events, including “Jung and the American Psyche” on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death, and “Art and Psyche in the City”, an international conference to be held at NYU in July 2012.
